Unboredroom
At Canopy, we’re lucky to be surrounded by artists and organizations who believe in the power of creativity to bring people together. One shining example is Unboredroom, an inclusion-driven arts nonprofit that recently joined our community.
Led by Recreation Therapist and artist Rachel Cohen, Unboredroom is built on the idea that art should be for everyone. Since 2019, they’ve offered free programs, collaborative projects, and exhibitions that welcome artists with and without disabilities. By employing local artists and training them in adaptive teaching strategies, Unboredroom not only expands opportunities for individual creators but also cultivates more accessible spaces for the entire Austin arts community.
